Another National Trust site, Winkworth Arboretum is a hillside park containing over 1,000 shrubs and trees. There is a lake at the bottom of the hills. The Arboretum is covered with bluebells in spring, including the rarer English variety, which curves downwards. It offers a spectacular show of trees and flowering shrubs that change with the seasons. Photographs were taken in May 2012.
